The Young and the Restless spoilers say that for some fans, they just want to make this stop already! And no, we are not talking about the overflowing coffee cups in Genoa City.

Critics Are Tired Of This Storyline

Instead, it seems like everyone is over the kidnapping storylines, and that’s mostly because it happens almost every season. One would think that the writers would come up with a better plot by now, right?

Well, that doesn’t seem to be the case as it seems like Patty Williams (Stacy Haiduk) has kidnapped Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) and has supposedly taken her to Paris. Or at least, that’s what it seems like right now.

But for many longtime viewers of the show, this storyline has been done so many times in the past that by now they already know how this is going to end. It’s a wash, rinse, and repeat situation, if you will.

It goes without saying that Y&R critics on the internet certainly did have a lot to say about the matter on social media.

Some have even commented with, “How many times is Y&R going to kidnap a woman and have her be held captive by a crazy doctor trying to mess with her mind? This Diane stuff is just so bad and her appearing on the BTG crossover and her and Jack are fine to this is wild.”

What’s Next For Diane?

Another critic of the soap wrote, “I’m getting sick and tired of all the same stories. They brought Patty (who I can’t stand) back just to kidnap Diane. It’s so stupid and I can’t stand the way Patty acts or speaks.”

And then there was this comment as well: “Someone had a running count on the last one. It really is ridiculous. We’ve seen Patty go after Jack so many times. I like that part. They could have done Diane’s part differently.”

Then again, Y&R fans will simply have to tune in each and every day to find out what will happen next.
