That contract might violate whatever contract she has with Forrester Creations, but could provide an opportunity for deeper exploitation.
Katie Logan Spencer (Heather Tom) is completely determined to teach her oldest sister a hard lesson. She’s bought into her renewed husband’s (Bill Spencer, Don Diamont) views on playing hardball business.
To her credit, Katie was treated badly at FC and had every right to pursue another career path. She was also open about leaving. The same can’t be said about Brooke’s daughter, Hope.
Bill didn’t foresee Katie launching Logan and producing a nice line of purses or some supposedly age-defying cream one rubs on a face, looks in the mirror, and thinks the way to the fountain of youth.
No, Bill wants Logan to be a fashion house that made a splash and then continues to drown the competition, specifically meaning the so-called dress-maker’s family business.
Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye) and Brooke Logan Forrester (Katherine Kelly Lang) have been fully dismissive of Logan’s ability to make that happen.
But the bigger mistake is not recognizing that poaching Eric Forrester (John McCook) wasn’t a one-off. Instead, it was the start of a pattern.
Steffy Forrester Finnegan (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) doesn’t trust Hope. She never will.
So, hearing that Hope has taken a sabbatical made Steffy naturally suspicious. Talking her way up to the executive floor and Logan’s suite was bold, and Steffy didn’t care what Katie thought of her doing so.
Steffy wanted to know who Logan’s new designer was, probably believing that Katie wouldn’t reveal that valuable information.
So, the meeting intended to fish out whatever could be learned and send a message that that big rag dealer, FC, is the boss.
Katie has welcomed Hope. She’s her niece and also the latest in a line of aggrieved FC employees.
Hope is going along with Katie’s request that her presence at Logan remain top secret. If that can hold, then why not go a step further?
Corporate espionage is right up Dollar Bill’s alley. It’s also a suggestion that Katie could make to Hope to up the daytime ante. The leave of absence ends, and Hope pretends to return to FC, when actually she would be Logan’s mole.
The above would represent a scenario that would be clearly illegal but would have to be proven.
Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton) surely wouldn’t be on board with that approach because he generally claims to be Mr. Morality. Yet, it’s not out of the realm of possibility that Katie makes that request, and Hope wants to make it happen so she can teach her mother and Steffy a hard lesson.

Hope does not need to be a mole. She is abused daily by her step sister and treated as the red headed step child by the Forresters. They need to get a big helping of humble pie
