That’s because the actor, who is best known for his role as Jason Morgan on the hit ABC soap, has made it pretty clear that he would rather be anywhere else than on the set of the show.
As many of our loyal readers can recall, Steve took time off from acting back in March and while he hasn’t specified the reason for his leave of absence, a lot of people believe that it has to do with his personal life.
After all, Steve did say that he wanted to spend some more time at home with his new wife, Michelle Lundstrom.
But at the same time, many General Hospital fans have noticed that Steve seems to be very preoccupied these days with making his side hustle become his main source of income.
For years now, Steve has been trying to promote his business as a health and fitness expert. Now that he’s teamed up with Michelle, many people believe that Steve might be looking to step out of acting and move into being a fitness coach full-time.
Even with all of that said, there’s no doubt that General Hospital fans would hate to see Jason Morgan go. Sure, it has happened before, but it’s safe to say that no one would play the character as well as he has over the years.
And while Steve himself hasn’t made any comments about the matter, a lot of fans have noticed that he doesn’t seem to be very enthusiastic about his return to Port Charles. In fact, he rarely talks about it on social media and instead is constantly telling his fans and followers that he can help them be their best version of themselves.

If in fact that is what he wants to do let him go. There are so many actors looking for work Look what happened with the actor playing Michael he was replaced and we love him. Yes there is another actor out here that can play Jason and make the part their own.
Here we go again. Funny, I don't know one fan who is questioning his true intentions. One, because everyone needs a little time off from time to time, especially a newlywed. Two, it's HIS life and HIS business, so if he decided to quit the show, though we'd be terribly disappointed, most of us would understand. After all the years he's given us, he owes us nothing.
I wish you people would find REAL news to report, or at least find someone else to speculate about. Every week it's something new about Steve, MAYBE not coming back, then, back but MAYBE not really wanting to be. Or you say, maybe his new wife doesn't like him being on the show, or doesn't like his costar, or if he has a love scene. It's all speculation and just stirs up fans who are too stupid to realize it's not fact. Even when the news might have some truth to it, like custody and ex wife problems, it's not our business! Leave him alone and et him live his life! I hope he stays on GH for as long as it's on the air, but if he chooses not to, then that's life - HIS LIFE - and there's nothing I can do about it.
