Talk about heartbreak. This General Hospital star has just confirmed that she won’t be returning to the canvas – not now, or even ever for that matter – leaving soap fans absolutely devastated with the news.

Clearly, we are talking about Kirsten Storms, who is best known for her role as Maxie Jones on the hit ABC soap.

For those who have been keeping up, TMZ reported back in April that Kirsten’s ex-husband, Days of Our Lives alum Brandon Barash was forced to file a restraining order on Kirsten to protect his family.

The ex-couple up until that point had shared custody of their daughter, Harper, but according to court records, Kirsten had asked Brandon to take care of the young girl while she was sorting out her personal issues.

Well, Brandon reportedly claimed that he was worried about Kirsten and her mental health and especially after she insisted that someone was trying to break into her apartment.

Kirsten recently took to her Instagram account to set the record straight about that and also added that she’s been suffering from brain aneurism.

What’s Next For Kirsten Storms?

If that weren’t enough, Kirsten also said that because of the TMZ reports and the nature of the entertainment business, she won’t be returning to General Hospital anytime in the near future, or at all.

This, of course, is devastating news for soap fans as they have loved watching her in her role as Maxie for the past two decades.

Now, whether or not Kirsten changes her mind in the future remains to be seen, but for now the actress says that she’s focused on her future and of course, her daughter Harper’s well-being.
