After stepping in to fill Anna Devane’s (Finola Hughes) role as police commissioner due to her ongoing mental health issues, Dante now faces the possibility of being ousted from this position if his illicit actions come to light.
Fans of GH are well aware of Dante’s motivations to go to great lengths to safeguard Rocco Falconeri (Finn Carr).
Rocco was involved in the shooting of Ross Cullum (Andrew Hawkes), and if the truth were to emerge, Cullum could potentially make Rocco vanish for good.
With Rocco’s safety hanging in the balance, Dante has compelling reasons for his involvement in this cover-up.
However, it’s important to note that Dante has crossed the line into corruption by choosing to destroy evidence that could incriminate Rocco and suppress the actual narrative.
It seems rather suspicious that Dante disposed of this crucial evidence just before Detective Joe Fitzpatrick (Jonathan Bennett) made his first appearance.
Currently, Joe is being depicted as someone who prefers to adhere strictly to the rules-as evidenced by his decision to follow protocol with Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) and bring him back to the police station in handcuffs.
It was Dante who removed the cuffs and opted for a gentler method, which Joe clearly disapproved of. Tension is brewing between Joe and Dante, suggesting that the writers might be laying the groundwork for a new storyline.
Joe could potentially be the one to unveil Dante’s corruption and hold him accountable for concealing Rocco’s actions on Pier 55 that night.
It’s easy to envision Joe diving into the missing evidence and uncovering that Dante was responsible for its destruction.
Furthermore, Joe might dig even deeper and uncover that Dante is concealing Rocco’s guilt regarding the shooting. However, there’s always the possibility of a twist- what if Joe is secretly aligned with Cullum and Jenz Sidwell (Carlo Rota)?

Dante should have told Sonny the whole truth about Rocco as besides the truth he could have prevented the fallout for Dante with this new cop Joe who is strictly by the books and can take Dante down. I don’t buy the Lulu and Dante get back together crap either as she had real feelings for Nathan and Dante was really in love with Sam
