General Hospital Cameron Mathison Offers Behind-the-Scenes Hint Regarding Drew’s Wheelchair Situation

General Hospital (GH) spoilers imply that poor Drew Cain is living a real-life nightmare: locked in a wheelchair, unable to speak or move.

The worst of it all is that “the love of his life”, Willow Cain (Katelyn MacMullen), is behind it all, and Drew knows it.

Will anyone learn about his predicament and rescue him anytime soon? Actor Cameron Mathison provided a behind-the-scenes hint regarding this question recently.

Cameron Mathison’s BTS Tease

Mathison hopped on Instagram and uploaded a BTS photo on his Story while filming on set.

It’s of Katelyn MacMullen, all dolled up as Willow Cain, in the living room of Drew’s home.

She’s giving a silly pose, as Mathison is in the shot, with Drew, still in his wheelchair. In fact, Mathison has a fake frown on his face.

The caption of the photo reads: This one is causing A LOT of trouble for Drew these days. General Hospital and MacMullen are both tagged in the photo.

It’s important to note that GH films four to six weeks ahead of broadcast. Assuming that the photo was taken sometime this week, this means fans can expect to see Drew still in his locked-in state – not saved and in his wheelchair – all the way up until June (possibly longer).

The Elizabeth Baldwin Factor

Last week, Elizabeth “Liz” Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst) visited the Cain household, and Drew took the opportunity to blink his SOS message to her.

Liz realized he was trying to communicate with her; however, instead of being overly disturbed, she saw it as a positive thing. She recommended to Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) (and Willow) to consider introducing communications tools so that he can “talk” to his loved ones, but of course, as Willow is keeping Drew in this state via a daily injection, she won’t bother doing any of that.

Still, Liz is a bright woman. She may start to realize that Drew isn’t “SOSing” because he’s frustrated, but because he’s in genuine danger! With that said, it doesn’t look like Liz will wise up to Willow’s scheme in the weeks ahead.
