The Young And The Restless Spoilers: Cane Provides Malcolm’s Surprise Donor Match, Lily Eternally Grateful?

The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers hint that a big turning point is coming up for Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) and Cane Ashby (Billy Flynn).

There’s been plenty of tension between these exes, but Cane already softened when he realized Lily was upset recently.

Cane questioned if this was about Malcolm Winters (Shemar Moore) and is probably already thinking that Lily’s bio dad must be sick.

Since Lily isn’t a viable donor candidate, she can’t be the one to save Malcolm’s life following his aplastic anemia diagnosis. Holden Novak (Nathan Owens) won’t be able to help Malcolm either despite his newly discovered status as Malcolm’s biological son.

Based on Holden’s test results in the April 10 episode, he’s not a donor match. Lily will plan to have the twins tested next, so that may be when Cane will receive news on what’s happening.

If the twins aren’t a match either, Malcolm may have to start looking at donor candidates who aren’t related to him.

Y&R spoilers suggest a huge Cane-related twist could be brewing. Although it’s far more likely for a bone marrow donor match to be someone from a simliar ethnic background, it’s not impossible for Cane to be a match for Malcolm.

That’s especially true in the soap world, where the rare possibilities tend to become reality and the story matters more than anything else.

What if Cane gets tested and reveals he can save Malcolm? You can bet Malcolm would be sorry about getting in Cane’s face and warning him away from his family!

Of course, it’s also possible Cane will provide the donor match another way. Cane might use whatever’s left of his bank account and use any remaining connections to pull off an urgent search.

Perhaps Cane will also convince everyone he knows to get tested, which could lead to someone like Amanda Sinclair (Mishael Morgan) being a match instead.

That said, the soapiest outcome here is for Cane himself to be the match who can step up and help Malcolm.

Cane may put aside any residual anger over Lily’s fake kidnapping and really come through for her when it counts. Lily may see Cane in a new light and ultimately get on board with a reunion since Cane still wants one deep down.

The April preview already hinted that Cane would find a way to prove the kind of man he is to Lily.
