Daphne went directly to Electra Forrester (Laneya Grace) and told her what she knew about Ivy’s manipulations, which leads to an impassioned demand to see a stolen letter.
Viewers recall that Electra’s aunt decided to intervene aggressively in her niece’s life by making Will Spencer (Crew Morrow) look like a terrible person.
Morrow’s character isn’t a bad guy. He’s just naive about romantic relationships. Will also found himself in the path of another young woman who found him to be highly appealing.
To be clear, Melissa Dylan (Sydney Bullock) is not Luna Nozawa (Lisa Yamada). She is the person who ended Luna’s life, although that was said to have happened accidentally.
Viewers are right to wonder, especially after all that Will endured, if Melissa purposely sought out and ran Luna down. However, the plot is proceeding as though that didn’t happen.
Melissa wasn’t able to secure a full-time position as an art teacher and became homeless. That led to Electra and Will taking her under their wings, which resulted in Ivy interpreting Melissa’s behavior as crossing the line.
But Ivy wasn’t able to successfully bribe Melissa. While Bullock’s character took the wad of cash she gave her, Melissa stayed in town and was discovered by Deke Sharpe (Harrison Cone) eating pizza out of the dumpster.
Digitally skipping ahead, Melissa’s attraction to Will was reciprocated, and because of Ivy’s prodding, Electra learned about the cheating kiss and dumped him.
However, Will’s ex didn’t know that her aunt took a letter with those contents, probably preventing most of the misinterpretations that followed.
Will’s head has been spinning ever since Luna told him that she was pregnant with his child. To think that the person who ended Luna’s life inserted herself between him and Electra is the height of classic soap opera.
RJ Forrester (Brayan Nicoletti) sees himself as the hero and Will as the villain. That’s exactly the perception that Ivy hoped to create in Electra’s mind.
Nicoletti’s character has also been influenced by Ivy’s manipulation and has benefited from Melissa’s pursuit of Will. But Electra never had to accept RJ’s advances.
If Electra didn’t find RJ a suitable alternative, he wouldn’t be her second-choice boyfriend.
That’s how Will sees him, with Forrester Creations naturally serving as the setting of the physical confrontation that he and RJ have over the woman they both want.
