The Young And The Restless Spoilers Thursday, April 9: Lily Needs Traci’s Help, Malcom’s Fate Depends on Holden?

The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers for Thursday, April 9 reveal that Holden Novak (Nathan Owens) opens up to Claire Newman (Hayley Erin) while Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) turns to Traci Abbott (Beth Maitland) for support.

Lily Needs Support

Lily wanted to help her bio dad, Malcolm Winters (Shemar Moore), as a donor but she can’t because of her past cancer treatment history. During Thursday’s episode, fans see Lily process difficult emotions after her discovery.

Lily turns to stalwart Traci for support and the motherly figure does not disappoint. Lily may not spill all of the details, but she shares some of her woes with Traci who musters the emotional troops to help her friend.

Whatever Lily decides to share, she knows that she can trust Traci to keep her confidence.

Elsewhere, Claire plays a similar confidant role for Holden. Holden just learned that Malcolm is his biological father and, hello—he needs his stem cells, stat. Nothing like getting off on the wrong foot with the son you never knew you had.

Will Holden Save Malcolm’s Life?

As they talk, Claire learns about Holden’s bio dad and the fact that this makes Lily his half-sister.

This is a lot for one person to absorb, and Holden needs Claire’s perspective on the news. It’s not everyday you realize that your past is a lie and your future involves possibly saving a man you must now call dad.

Claire is still salty about Holden’s secrecy regarding his past Los Angeles hijinks, but she has a good heart and wants to be his sounding board.

Claire Comes Through

As Holden muddles through this conundrum, Claire may bottom line him and ask if he can live with himself if he refuses to be tested.

Spoilers reveal that Holden confiding in Claire could draw them closer.

Meanwhile, Malcolm and Stephanie Simmons (Vivica A. Fox) confront her terrible paternity lie as they hash out what her secret has kept from him.

For her part, Stephanie is chastened by choice to lie and Malcolm desperately hopes that Holden will agree to testing that could save his life.
