Sheila Sharpe (Kimberlin Brown) is a menacing presence, which explains Steffy’s anxiety.
Steffy will continue to play a significant role in this ongoing storyline as she endeavors to protect Taylor from harm.
This is not the first instance where Steffy has had to be concerned about Sheila’s potential for danger, and it certainly won’t be the last time either.
Nevertheless, Steffy has also been responsible for some perilous situations herself throughout the years.
This is a point that Jacqueline MacInnes Wood discussed in a recent interview with Entertainment Weekly, where she reminisced about some of the shocking events her character has been involved in.
“There have been instances where I’ve unintentionally taken someone’s life, you know, or attempted to take someone’s life.
I pushed Ivy Forrester (Ashleigh Brewer) into this electrical panel,” Wood recounted, reflecting on one particularly intense scene from the show.
Fans of B&B also witnessed the dramatic moment when Steffy struck Aly Forrester (Ashlyn Pearce), with a tire iron, resulting in Aly suffering a fatal blow to the head against a rock.
Then Steffy mistakenly stabbed “Sugar,” also known as Janet Webber, (Kimberlin Brown), believing she was Sheila Sharpe (Kimberlin Brown) at the cliff house.
Without a doubt, it was a significant challenge for Jacqueline MacInnes Wood to navigate through all these complex storylines.
Yet she confessed that there was one particular narrative that stood out as her most challenging to date; “The most challenging would be the opioid addiction,” Wood shared.
“As an actor, having to immerse myself in those scenes, executing them in the most authentic and organic manner possible, while managing so much dialogue- that was truly a challenge for me.” Naturally, Wood was alluding to her storyline from 2020, where Steffy experienced a motorcycle accident that led to her addiction to painkillers.
Steffy went through a tumultuous downward spiral before she ultimately recognized the need for help, allowing Wood to deliver a series of powerful performances throughout this harrowing journey.
Regarding the character as a whole, Wood values Steffy’s “feisty” nature and mentioned that playing her is incredibly fun.
Steffy remains a beloved character, and likely always will be, so keep an eye out for updates about her future-the ongoing involvement of Taylor and Deacon will create additional challenges for Steffy to face.
