The Young And The Restless Alum Jeremaine Rivers Sports New Role For Next Project

The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers remind fans that Damian Kane exited the canvas in July 2025 after Cane Ashby’s (Billy Flynn) ‘trusted’ assistant, Carter (Vincent Stalba), stabbed the man at Cane’s summer home in France.

Now, his portrayer, Jermaine Rivers, is about to embark on a new chapter, with a new role, in a new project, and we have all the details!

Jermaine Rivers’ New Role

Post-Y&R run, Rivers is stepping behind the camera for his next project. He’s on the cusp of his directorial debut with the new film, The Housekeeper’s Code.

The movie is a romantic comedy, which Rivers not only directs but is also an executive producer of, and is slated to star in the flick.

Rivers plays techy entrepreneur Jamal Stephens, who struggles with his feelings for an old flame, as well as his fiancée. The Housekeeper’s Code is the first film produced under River’s new production company, Dirty Boots Film.

The flick also stars Crystal-Lee Naomi as Tina Mitchell and Bea W. Bliss as Erica Devereux.

More Details On “The Housekeeper’s Code”

As of this writing, there’s no official release date for The Housekeeper’s Code; however, production is scheduled to start in late March of this year, with an estimated release date of late 2026 or early 2027.

River entered the land of Genoa City in February 2025 as Damian, and the character was shrouded in mystery as Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) was desperately looking for his half-brother.

Nate wanted to find Damian, not only for himself, but for his new friend, Amy Lewis (Valarie Pettiford), as the woman was dying and wanted to be reunited with her son.

Damian quickly developed a crush on Lily Winters (Christel Khalil), which eventually turned into a romance; however, the character’s run ended after he was shockingly stabbed to death.
