Stacy Haiduk Talks Days Of Our Lives Exit & The Young And The Restless Return

Days of Our Lives spoilers note that Kristen DiMera and Susan Banks continue to wreak havoc in the land of Salem.

With that said, their portrayer, Stacy Haiduk, can currently be seen on both the Peacock soap and the CBS daytime drama, The Young and the Restless, as she recently reprised her Patty Williams character.

Does this mean she’s exiting Days? Haiduk recently set the record for straight.

Surprise Y&R Return

Days of Our Lives fans were surprised to hear that Haiduk would be seen on the Y&R, as both Kristen and Susan do play prominent roles on DOOL.

Haiduk made her Genoa City return this past Friday, March 6, so could this mean the actress is exiting Days? Haiduk recently spoke with TV Insider and provided a little insight to fans.

Stacy Haiduk Sets The Record Straight

Haiduk told TV Insider that she’s not under contract with Days of Our Lives. As she put it, “They put my characters to rest sometimes, and I’m always sad because I love that show and my characters so much.”

Haiduk added that when Days placed Kristen and Susan “on hold” in January, she was disappointed. But then the opportunity came up to reprise her Patty Williams character, so she jumped at the chance.

While Haiduk is on the Y&R right now, the actress made it clear that she’d be happy to return to Days. Haiduk states, “Look, I’m an actress. I love acting, so yeah, absolutely, I would. I miss the characters when I’m not there.”

Due to Days filming so far in advance, fans will see Stacy on the canvas until the end of 2026. So this means Y&R fans can enjoy seeing Patty Williams, while Days fans enjoy seeing Kristen and Susan, too.

On her return to the Y&R, Haiduk had this to say, “I’ve wanted so much to be back on Y&R at some point in my life because I missed the people and I missed the character of Patty.”
