General Hospital Spoilers: Laura Wright Talks Carly’s Jealousy Of Britt

General Hospital (GH) spoilers note that Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) can be pretty territorial where Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) is concerned.

Even though they aren’t romantically linked and are only best friends, Carly can have a jealous streak where romantic interests are concerned.

Laura Wright recently spoke with Soap Opera Digest (SOD) about her character’s jealousy of Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud).

Laura Wright Explains

Wright tells SOD that Carly is particularly green-eyed where Britt is concerned because of how the good doctor came back.

Jason didn’t exactly keep Carly in the loop when her first figured out his long-lost love could be alive. As Wright puts it, “Carly was the only one who didn’t know.”

She adds, “Sonny [Corinthos – Maurice Benard] knew, even Brick [Stephen A. Smith] knew! Immediately, she was left on the outside.”

Wright goes on to say, “It’s like, ‘Our whole little posse knew, and you didn’t tell me?!’ [In Carly’s mind] Jason changes toward her [when Britt is in the picture]. There’s just something about her, and Carly doesn’t like it! It scares her.”

Wright Knows Right From Wrong

Wright continues to tell SOD that she knows Carly’s logic isn’t right, but ‘it is what it is’. The actress goes on to say, “She (Carly) doesn’t like it at all, and she would have no problem if Britt decided to leave town and go live somewhere else!”

The actress closes the interview by pointing out that Carly can see how much Jason cares for Britt, and she doesn’t like it! She adds that Carly, “… doesn’t even have a great reason, it’s just a Carly thing.

It’s just who she is. She’s terrified that someone’s going to take Jason from her, and that’s just the way it is and the way it’s always been!”
