Ivy Forrester (Ashleigh Brewer) responded with aggression after Daphne pushed the issue, which reinforced the unusual nature of what happened.
Ivy has jumped way overboard in orchestrating her niece’s life. She’s convinced that Will Spencer (Crew Morrow) is all wrong for Electra Forrester (Laneya Grace).
But using Luna Nozawa (Lisa Yamada) as an entry point to write Will off was misguided.
Will was not at fault. Instead, he was targeted by an unstable villain who was later killed by Dylan (Sydney Bullock). One of the intriguing elements of this storyline is that Ivy isn’t fully wrong about Bullock’s character and may be proven right in retrospect.
Who wouldn’t be upset in this scenario?
It’s natural for a younger person like Electra and a younger person like Will to face issues in what is each person’s first serious relationship. Ivy’s initial intentions were to protect her family member from what she perceived as a connection that was too complicated.
Electra now believes that Will dumped her and chose Dylan. That symbolic break of their couple’s We necklace and his not responding to the old-school, handwritten letter Electra wrote him led her to believe their relationship was either further strained or over.
But viewers know, and Daphne learned that Ivy manipulated Electra and Will.
RJ Forrester (Brayan Nicoletti) is back in Los Angeles, California, with the audience accepting this recast. Joshua Hoffman (RJ) did a fine job during his tenure. Viewers with sharp ears also heard Hoffman’s apparent voice being used for the audio overlays of B&B’s additional sponsorship commentary during episodes, even after Nicoleti debuted.
This actor has fit nicely into the cast and has been given a juicy debut storyline to work in. RJ and Will have been set on a collision course. Ivy is serving as a de facto booker, which borrows a professional wrestling term.
Ivy is the booker, meaning she is the person who picks the combatants and sets the stage for the show the audience will witness. In this match, Will and RJ will battle for the main viewer, Electra.
It’s too soon to tell who might win. But Dylan will be there to continue comforting Will, as episode teasers show.
Daphne was elusive. That dominant trait of her personality allowed her fragrance mystique within the fashion industry to flourish.
However, she opened her heart to Carter Walton (Lawrence Saint-Victor). Their recent marriage and hope to start a family put both longtime singles on the same life course together.
Having Daphne, in particular, catch Ivy’s misdeed was intriguing. Surely the new Mrs. Walton will seek her husband’s input, as he’s very familiar with Forrester Creations many backstories.
A coming reveal, which includes Daphne serving as a truth-teller, will enlighten connected characters. But that alone doesn’t mean that hearts will heal or that Electra’s and Will’s sweet connection will be repairable by that point in the plot.
