The Bold And The Beautiful Spoilers: Can Katie And Bill Force Eric To Fulfill The Logan Contract?

The Bold and the Beautiful spoilers document that Katie Logan (Heather Tom) loved what Bill Spencer (Don Diamont) intended. The loving support her renewed husband provided allowed Logan to be created and enabled Eric Forrester (John McCook) to agree to a contract and become her lead designer. But that understanding appears to have been lost.

Eric didn’t set out to leave Katie in the lurch. But that’s where she’s standing now that he and Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye) made peace with each other.

This father and son’s seeming agreement should allow Eric to return to Forrester Creations and designs for as many years as he feels he’s able to do so. Yet, viewers are likely wondering what legal obligation Eric has to Logan?

Early Retirement For Thee And Not Me

Eric told Ridge that he was deeply hurt. Ridge’s intention, when creating the retirement party, was to look out for his father.

Brooke Logan Forrester (Katherine Kelly Lang) backed her husband’s belief that Eric’s health overrode any need for him to continue working at the family business on any regular basis. But neither half of the self-dubbed destined couple considered Eric’s feelings.

The co-founder and Chairman Emeritus of FC is an artist. So, as long as he’s physically and mentally able, Eric wants to keep creating beautiful designs that the fashion world continues to embrace. Doing that allows him to remain vibrant and stay relevant.

Bill Spencer Wants The World For His Wife

Bill routinely refers to Tom’s character as his Katie. That term of endearment took on a far greater importance than she ever dreamed when he offered her the opportunity to create a new fashion house.

Devoted viewers were reminded of some of Bill’s links to B&B’s fashion storylines in daytime days gone by. They were also likely intrigued by the developing tale that wove a family fashion battle into modern times.

Katie revealed that Eric was her designer at the Forrester mansion while Ridge and Brooke were present. That elevated the plot line immeasurably and pushed it to a pointed spot.

The choice to drop the family fight happened when Eric decided to accept Ridge’s apology and return to FC. But that might not be all there is to decide.

Katie Logan Needs To Think Strategically

Katie had a verbal agreement with Eric. He volunteered, wanting to be her lead designer after their initial, warm conversation about being her mentor.

It’s plausible to believe that Katie, Bill, or both will want to hold Eric accountable for the promises he made. That would allow Ridge and Brooke to score points because Eric’s stress level would rise, assuming legal paperwork challenges the ownership of the drawings he intended for Logan.

But maybe there’s a way to avoid a messy legal skirmish. Is it possible for Katie to talk with Eric and convince him to provide some of those sketches to help Logan launch, or for some form of partnership between this upstart fashion house and FC to be agreed upon?
