The Bold and the Beautiful spoilers indicate that Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye) pulled off a redo. The second time around, he got it right by apologizing to his dad.

Eric Forrester (John McCook) was always in the right. He should never have been forced out the door of the classic fashion house he co-founded decades ago.

Brooke Logan Forrester (Katherine Kelly Lang) should take a cue from her husband and offer a mea culpa to her sister, Katie Logan (Heather Tom). But Brooke is stubborn and arrogant. So, that hasn’t happened.

Brooke Logan Forrester Invented A False Storyline

Eric told Donna Logan (Jennifer Gareis) that he knew Ridge loved him, but that he was still mad at his son. McCook’s character was fully justified in being angry.

He used that fuel to approach Katie, unlike the story that Brooke built in her mind. Katie and Bill Spencer (Don Diamont) didn’t lure Eric to Logan and then push him too hard.

Logan needed a designer, and Eric wanted that job, after initially saying that he merely wanted to be Katie’s mentor. Why would she have turned him down, especially after seeing his masterful new designs?

Ridge Forrester Recognizes He Was Wrong

Ridge’s recent talks with Eric made all the difference. In Eric’s heart, this is a great development because it allows him to return to Forrester Creations with his dignity restored.

However, many audience members probably wish that Ridge and Eric hadn’t buried the daytime hatchet. Doing so cut what appeared to be a dynamic storyline that could have moved in varied directions, very short.

It was an unusual head-fake for fans who recognized the family battles and inter-family squabbles that seemed to be set up for evolving conflict. Instead, Eric appears headed back to FC.

Although the fight between Brooke and Katie might be expanding.

Eric Forrester’s Wisdom Wins Out

Eric told Donna that he bit off more than he could chew. His comments to Ridge, about needing to be heard and not treated with disrespect, were well-founded.

On the upside, credit to the writing staff for crafting a story about the discrimination people face in the workplace and condescension from their family members and supposed friends when it comes to aging. It’s a sensitive topic that is very relatable.

Ridge chose to focus on his father’s health and used that as a means to make an executive decision. But Eric is his dad, not an employee who represented a liability risk.

And one last parting thought about Brooke. She’s practicing downward ageism by seeing Katie as less because she’s younger.

Lang’s character is actually more wrong than Ridge was because she still feels justified in her beliefs and isn’t. This battle rages and represents solid soap that hopefully continues to be explored.
