The Young And The Restless Spoilers: Cane Faces a Dangerous Assignment as Victor Targets Phyllis

The Young and the Restless spoilers document that Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) is still pretending to be holding Cane Ashby’s (Billy Flynn) family hostage.

Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) and the twins are completely safe because she’s part of Victor’s game, with Cane being purposely out of the loop.

Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) has gone dark, as Nick Newman’s (Joshua Morrow) pointed chat with Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) revealed.

Fans also wondered why Billy would leave his door unlocked in this day and soapy age, which allowed Nick to barge in.

So, Nick and Cane want to find Phyllis. Both men have the same goal, with Cane’s hard-out being to take Newman Enterprises from her by any means necessary.

Cane Ashby Will Have A Moment Of Clarity

It hasn’t dawned on Cane yet. He hasn’t considered that Phyllis was right. Victor has pulled the wool over his eyes.

But a moment of clarity will arrive. Either he’ll realize reality, or something will shift in the storyline that leads him to the truth.

Whether Cane will be able to wrest control from Phyllis is a different issue. First, he needs to locate her.

Then, he’ll need to outwit the woman who’s a number of steps ahead of him. That’s where Daniel Romalotti (Michael Graziadei) comes into focus.

Daniel Romalotti Has His Dad To Confide In

Danny Romalotti (Michael Damian) is back in town. His renewed wife, Christine Blair Romalotti (Lauralee Bell), is busy defending Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes), which gives Danny time to be with his adopted son.

Devoted viewers recall the great storyline that played out decades ago, where Christine successfully won full custody rights for Danny in a bitter battle with Phyllis, who lied to him about Daniel’s paternity.

That specific event is the origin of the bitterness that Phyllis carries with her to this day, with Cricket being her forever enemy.

Daniel has been talking with his dad about Tessa Porter (Cait Fairbanks), but he can also ask for input regarding Cane’s pitch to team with him to deal with Phyllis.

Phyllis Summers Has Outsmarted Two Snakes

Victor is the king snake, whereas Cane is merely a venomous creature who slithers recklessly. She defeated Victor by catching Cane off guard.

Billy is part of this mix, but as he told Nick, he isn’t Phyllis’ partner and doesn’t care what happens to the Newman family.

Cane has been forced to care because he believes Lily and the twins will either be held indefinitely or even eliminated, which is Victor’s implied threat.

Lily will soon return to Genoa City, Wisconsin. So, that could be what brings this storyline to a climax.

In the meantime, Cane’s sweating it out and has to fight Phyllis, who was never his next loved one, regardless of whatever their personal connection appeared to be. They used each other, and he’s paying the much higher price right now.
