So, it’s natural that she runs to her father and tells him shocking news about Taylor Hayes (Rebecca Budig) and Deacon Sharpe (Sean Kanan) wanting to be together romantically.
Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye) once worked undercover with Bill Spencer (Don Diamont) to bring down Sheila Carter (Kimberlin Brown). Their efforts failed in the end, but it was a great storyline.
This time around, Ridge will be working with his daughter to implore Taylor not to couple with Deacon.
But how much pull can Ridge have since he ended their engagement and returned to Brooke Logan Forrester (Katherine Kelly Lang)?
At least a portion of Deacon’s feelings for Taylor are steeped in something that’s not positive. His longstanding contempt for Ridge is based in having lost Brooke to Kaye’s character years ago.
Although B&B fans know that Brooke was likely infatuated with Deacon rather than truly in love with him. Her heart has always been with Ridge since the day she met him, which was also this show’s first episode in 1987.
Deacon doesn’t have hard feelings against his wife, the now Sheila Carter Sharpe. He believes their time together has run its course, and under normal circumstances, a break could be handled amicably.
Understandably, Steffy believes Taylor will be targeted for takedown by Sheila if she would learn what Deacon is doing. That’s why Wood’s character gave her mother a terrible either-or choice.
Taylor can break from Deacon and never pursue him again, and all will remain as it has been.
But if she stays committed to the man she says she loves, then she won’t be allowed to see Steffy or her children.
That type of threat isn’t reasonable. It puts Taylor’s decision on the daytime chopping block. But more so represents a shocking method Steffy is using to force her mother to see the light.
Ridge will have to share what Steffy told him with Brooke. Lang’s character will be as mystified as Ridge and surely side with him.
Brooke was recently talking about wanting the best for Taylor. But she never anticipated that moving on from Ridge would mean moving in with Deacon, who is Hope Logan Spencer’s (Annika Noelle) father.
Deacon enjoys support from both of his children. They are trying to split him from Sheila because they see her as an albatross.
Poor Sheila. She’s a victim of her self-created rap sheet. Yet, anyone who is forgiving, like Deacon pledged to be when they took their vows, would see her growth and potential.
Taylor does, which is why a life with Deacon is possible in this storyline that’s near a crescendo point.
