First off, Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) has an update for Victor Newman (Eric Braeden). It seems that their crack IT team is testing an algorithm that will have the AI program go after false targets. That’s the good news, the bad news it’s still in testing.
Victor decides that testing isn’t needed (WCGW) and tells his son Adam to tell IT to hit the red button, stat.
Things are looking up when Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) arrives and moans about the pain of doing damage control.
Nimble minded Victor suggests siccing the PCPD (whoever still works there anyway) on Cane and Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford), but Victoria reminds him that he could be arrested for using the rogue AI software on Arabesque.
Which is to say that if Victor tried to punish the Newmans by alerting the authorities, they would also implicate themselves. Bummer.
Over at the coffeehouse, snoopy Esther Valentine (Kate Linder) is on a roll (cinnamon) when she sneaks a peek at Chelsea Lawson’s (Melissa Claire Egan) laptop. She asks about the news on the Newman attack and Chelsea brushes it off as fake news.
However, Chelsea texts Adam to strategize about the negative chatter.
Elsewhere, Noah Newman (Lucas Adams) pushes rogue Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) to admit to what he plans to do with evil and unconscious
Noah fears that Nick kills Matt and Nick won’t refute that.
At the same time, Sienna eavesdrops on Nick and Noah and then runs to Victor for help where Victoria meets Sienna before she attends the meeting at Crimson Lights with Adam.
Victoria, Adam and Chelsea brainstorm how to stem the tide, as well as the best way to hit back at Cane and Phyllis.
Meanwhile, Victor listens to Sienna’s news and she eventually opens up to Victor about her feelings for Noah.
She admits that there probably isn’t a long-term future for them and Victor agrees that she should return to Los Angeles.
Back at Sharon’s house, she, too, learns about the Matt situation. Sharon gets Nick’s vengeance, but doesn’t want Noah involved. She also tells Nick that he would be traumatized by his intended actions.
Nick argues back and then Victor and Sienna burst in. Victor demands to be the one to deal with Matt while Nick gets medical help. Everyone agrees except Nick.
Delicious The Young and the Restless spoilers indicate that Nick is outnumbered but we still don’t know what will become of evil Matt Clark!
