The Young And The Restless Spoilers: Audra Pretends to Play Nice – Claire Isn’t Convinced

The Young and the Restless spoilers document that Claire Newman (Hayley Erin) is attracted to Holden Novak (Nathan Owens) but remains leery of him.

She’s rationalizing his connection to Audra Cortes (Zuleyka Silver), while also feeling certain that her rivals’ smiley face chat at Crimson Lights was a purposeful act.

Holden’s cat-and-mouse talk with Audra before Claire happened upon them was productive. While he called out his original Californian accomplice, Owens’ character was satisfied that they’d reached an understanding and was soon proven right.

Audra’s apology was something Claire didn’t expect. It reinforced her suspicions about whatever happened at The Shadow Room all those soapy years ago being troublesome.

But what Claire still doesn’t know is that the man she’s falling for buried a body after accidentally killing a man Audra fleeced.

Audra Cortes Says Her Name While Play Acting

Devoted audience members were glad to hear Silver deliver the line where she introduced herself to Owens’ alter ego.

Their characters were playing a scene where they restarted their relationship as a mimic of when they first met in Los Angeles, California.

Their Shadow Room origin included Audra entering with a creepy guy who had intentions she wasn’t interested in.

The black and white retrospective scene viewers initially saw weeks ago had Audra swipe a half-million-dollar check from that guy, which resulted in a deadly reaction.

As viewers saw, Audra’s victim followed her back to Matt Clark’s (Roger Howarth) bar and demanded restitution.

He then came at her, with Holden intervening. A punch was thrown, the guy hit his head on the bar, fell to the floor, and died.

Holden Novak Is Living On Borrowed Time

It would seem unlikely that Holden and Audra’s buried secret will remain shielded forever. Claire is the most likely person to learn this dark truth.

Exposing this issue will put Claire in an awkward position. She will want to turn Audra in, but doing so would also result in Holden being potentially charged with murder.

So, it appears that a triangle exists, but it’s not a romantic one. Instead, a coming cover-up trio will likely be necessary.

Claire Newman Has Multiple Choices

Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) is Claire’s first love. He’s tied up with Jabot family business and is involved with Victor Newman’s (Eric Braeden) latest scheme.

So, Claire doesn’t appear to be an imminent reconciliation candidate. She’s drawn to Holden and will be further drawn into his unwanted criminal past, where Audra is his accomplice.

The above makes Kyle look like the better option, and he projects as her eventual restored love.

But Holden is more than a distraction. He’ll need Claire to protect him while also learning how to tolerate Audra because of her crucial knowledge.
