Brenda was last played by actress Vanessa Marcil on the hit ABC soap. And according to a lot of longtime viewers of the show, Vanessa brought something to the character that seems to be lacking on the canvas right now, and that’s a mixture of good drama and comedic timing, too.
Sure, she got into a lot of trouble, but at the same time, she brought a lot of comic relief. Not only that, but Brenda was also bad and catty but also sweet and passionate at the same time. That’s a combination that you don’t get to see very often.
Plus, there was also the time when she and Lois were launching L&B records. Their entire story with Eddie Main was one that fans still talk about to this very day.
Not only that, but there’s also strong speculation that if Brenda were to come back, there’s no doubt that she would be able to hold her own, especially when it comes to people like Carly or Sonny or even Valentin.
Brenda was gorgeous, but at the same time she had a very tough exterior, right?
So far Vanessa Marcil herself has not made any comments about whether or not she would be willing to return to Port Charles or what her future plans are for that matter.
That said, Vanessa has always made it pretty clear that she has fond memories of her time on General Hospital and that she’s still very close to some of her co-stars like Maurice Benard.
But, whether or not the producers would actually be willing to bring her back remains to be seen. Until that happens, General Hospital fans have no choice but to cross their fingers and hope for the best.
Then again, GH fans will simply have to tune in each and every day to find out what will happen next.

Enough of the blasts from the past. Too many used to be characters on canvas already that have in my opinion have brought nothing of interest as far as story telling is involved. If long gone characters whether resurrected or not come back to canvas a definite story line should be in line for the character and not take a year to reveal just what importance that character is. It is good to see some of the long lost characters, but why not have them come to town for a short visit and then go back to where ever they have been.
