General Hospital Spoilers: Will Britt Be the Broker of Peace Between Brad and Portia?

General Hospital spoilers squeal Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) has been surprising people left and right since she came back from the dead — and that’s the least of it.

Somehow despite her overall turnaround before she “died,” many still remember her for the not-so-wonderful things she did to many in Port Charles over the years. Holding that against her, it’s been enlightening for some to witness that Britt isn’t all bad.

She saved Ned Quartermaine’s (Wally Kurth) life. She rescued Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr) when she needed an OB exam in an emergency.

She saved Josslyn ‘Joss’ Jacks’ (Eden McCoy) life — twice. Needless to say, Britt has a few good qualities about her, and rumor has it the next one might be wearing the hat of peacemaker.

If anyone can cool the tension between Portia and Brad Cooper (Parry Shen), it may be Britt.

Brad is Back

Britt might see her recent reunification with Brad as an open door. She wants nothing more than to regain her medical license and get her old job back, and she might see Brad as her best shot at doing that.

Of course, first, she’ll have to be apprised of what he was actually up to after she “died.” Learning that he was blackmailing the hospital’s Co-Chief of Staff might not shock her, and in fact, it might delight her to know Brad has dirt on Portia, because she can use it to get what she wants, too.

But something tells me Britt won’t go about it the way Brad has, and that might be to everyone’s advantage.

GH Spoilers Claim Portia is Still in Deep

The instant that Brad appeared in Portia’s hospital room, she was stressed beyond belief. When Isaiah Gannon (Sawandi Wilson) intervened with his protective nature on full display, it was both heartwarming and terrifying for Portia.

While she appreciated Isaiah wanting to have her back and get rid of Brad as quickly as possible, she also knows Brad keeps his finger on the pulse of just about everything and everybody.

If he senses even the slightest bit of anything more than a coworker relationship occurring between Portia and Isaiah, all bets are off.

Portia has enough stress on her plate right now, and that is precisely why Britt might be able to negotiate getting what she wants in turn for taking some of that burden off of a pregnant Portia.

Tit for Tat

Britt might be able to stem the bleeding of Brad’s mouth run afoul, and that could be very valuable for Portia.

She’s trying to keep the peace with her family and approach her divorce from Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) with as little drama as possible. Drawing attention to the man she’s been sleeping with won’t help.

If Britt can get Brad to back down and leave her alone, Portia might be grateful enough to stick her neck out for Britt and help her get her license to practice back.

She might even set her up with a cushy job in obstetrics. Will Britt be able to broker peace — or at least a stalemate — between Brad and Portia long enough to position herself where she wants to be? Stay tuned for more GH news and spoilers to find out.
