General Hospital Spoilers: Lulu Unloads on Dante, Nathan Backs Her Much to His Partner’s Dismay?

General Hospital spoilers squeal Lulu Spencer (Alexa Havins Bruening) is struggling to keep her mouth shut when it comes to Dante Falconeri’s (Dominic Zamprogna) temper tantrums lately. To be honest, I’m right there with her. The last year has felt like a bit of a bait and switch.

We lost Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco), and it seems like the guy left standing in Dante’s shoes is a ghost of who he used to be.

The close relationship he once had with his mother seems to have dissipated.

His respect for the Quartermaine family ebbs and flows. Lulu waking up should have been one of the most momentous occasions of his life, but it wasn’t, and we understand why given her life sort of meant Sam’s death. But enough is enough already.

He lashes out at Giovanni ‘Gio’ Palmieri (Giovanni Mazza) every chance he gets to blame Rocco Falconeri’s (Finn Carr) bad behavior on anyone but Rocco.

Could that be because if Rocco fails, Dante considers himself a failure as a dad? Rumors are swirling that Nathan West (Ryan Paevey) is going to go to bat for Lulu when she lets Dante have it. This can’t possibly end well, right?

Tempers Flare

First it was Lulu’s fault that Sam was dead, even though Dante would never say that.

It still felt that way. Neither of them had to say it. By the time they did have words, they were crass, and crushing — admitting they both loved each other but they couldn’t be together.

Neither of them were feeling that. Then Rocco almost died from alcohol poisoning and somehow it was Gio’s fault.

After learning Gio was his son, once might think Dante would tread more carefully, but he laid into him harder than ever after he learned Rocco’s break-in to Professor Henry ‘Hank’ Dalton’s (Daniel Goddard) lab was influenced by Gio’s scheme with Emma Scoprio Drake (Bradyn Bruner) to set the lab animals free.

Everyone but Dante seems to be at fault everywhere he turns, and thus, he’s turning on his family.

GH Spoilers Gossip Nathan Swoops In

Nathan and Lulu seem to be getting closer as of late, and while it hasn’t been intentionally behind Dante’s back, it hasn’t been out in the light of day either.

Don’t forget that Lulu was in a coma for four years herself. She understands how Nathan feels right now, coming back into his own life with no recollection of the last seven years.

Dante might expect that Nathan will come to his aid in any case; they are partners on the police force, after all.

So I’d expect Dante to be shocked if Nathan backs Lulu — and he just might start questioning why, even if he does so silently.

Dante Gets Benched?

Dante wasn’t ready for Lulu when she woke up. He had fallen in love with someone else he thought he would be spending the rest of his life with. When that plan evaporated, he had to take time to grieve.

That makes sense, and the confusing conflation of blame and guilt and penalty with Lulu did too. But continuing to argue with her on nearly every accounting of co-parenting and interpersonal relationships doesn’t.

Dante might not have been ready to love Lulu, but something tells me he’s not ready for someone else to either.

So if Nathan’s support of her has Dante thinking something more than friendship may be brewing between his partner and his ex-wife, he just might get up the nerve to do something about it.
