In fact, there was once a rumor circulating online that General Hospital co-stars Laura Wright and Donnell Turner were both secretly dating before they got married.
Of course, it makes sense that a lot of people would believe that Laura and Donnell were dating back in the day, seeing how they are both very attractive and they had a lot of on-screen chemistry as their two characters, Carly and Curtis.
And while they look good on paper, sadly, it never happened. Both Laura and Donnell went on the record on the Jennifer Hudson show to say that they never dated and that their rumors were just that: rumors.
But that hasn’t stopped General Hospital fans from wishing thinking when it comes to Carly and Curtis. There were even some suggesting that the two should get together for an upcoming storyline.
That’s because a lot of people would love to see both Michael and Curtis become family. Not only that, but Carly’s protective instinct for Curtis would come out.
It wouldn’t take very long for Carly and Portia to go head to head and even though Jordan isn’t the most popular person on the show right now, Carly would certainly give her a run for her money.
Some General Hospital fans even commented on the matter with, “I could see them together. LW had CRAZY chemistry with Shawn Butler too! So the fact that she also had red hot chemistry with TJ’s uncle feels like a sign that GH needs to explore this.”
Another fan wrote, “I started watching the show in late 2021 and for some reason it was popping up for me. It made it seem like they were dating at the time. I was surprised. I later found more information that their dating at the time was a rumor.”
So far both Laura Wright and Donnell Turner haven’t made any further comments about the matter.

Poor Curtis. Jordan, Portia, Valerie, and now possibly Carly? He deserves better. Nina would be better than her. Is there some rule that Carly gets a shot at every heterosexual man in town? I'd love to see some unusual pairings with people who have rarely ever crossed paths, instead of the same triangles and back and forth. Maybe Curtis and Lulu, Dante and Elizabeth, Isaiah and Brooklyn....just examples, don't shoot me. They can keep Valentine and Carly if that's where they're headed, cause I cant stand either one of them. Or Anna, for that matter.
You have got to be kidding me. I only barely care if the characters get together in today’s episode; nobody cares if the actors dated years ago.
