The Bold And The Beautiful Spoilers: Deacon Backs Off Sheila – Hope and Liam Make a Shockingly Selfish Choice

The Bold and the Beautiful spoilers document that Sheila Carter Sharpe (Kimberlin Brown) has worked hard to stabilize her life.

She loves her husband dearly and is relieved that she was able to reconcile with him.

However, Sheila didn’t know two plot points. The first is manageable, but the second one might not be.

Deacon Sharpe (Sean Kanan) had the unenviable task of telling Sheila that she wasn’t invited to his daughter’s remarriage. Hope Logan (Annika Noelle) opted to pass on having her mother-in-law attend the latest nuptials to Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton).

Hope Logan’s And Liam Spencer’s Easy Off Ramp

Hope is the bride. So, she leads the way regarding who her parents bring to the wedding.

As far as Sheila goes, she’s made every effort possible to get closer to Hope and the recently returned Deke Sharpe (Harrison Cone). But neither of Deacon’s children wants their dad to stay with Sheila.

So, allowing Beth Spencer’s (Jordyn Lynn Ariza) comments to set the soapy table was a bush league decision. Hope and Liam don’t need to be ashamed of themselves because of Sheila’s dark history.

But she’s been a good wife to Deacon and didn’t create an irreconcilable difference when withholding the information about her granddaughter, Luna Nozawa (Lisa Yamada). That was an impossible situation and a tenuous legal matter that Sheila was forced to navigate.

Deacon Sharpe’s Developing Perspective

Deacon told Taylor Hayes (Rebecca Budig) that he loves his wife and wants to make their marriage work.

That felt like an open-ended statement because Deacon’s feelings are developing. That’s why he didn’t tell Hope that Sheila had to be with him at the wedding.

Taylor is caught between her preexisting thoughts about Sheila, which rival the perspective Hope and Liam share.

While she had sympathy for Brown’s character at one point in time, Taylor changed her view after learning that Sheila shot Steffy Forrester Finnegan (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) intentionally.

Any mother would protect their child and be forever leery of someone who tried to kill her, meaning Steffy. Yet, Taylor isn’t just weighing that factor.

Her take on Deacon has become romantic because his overtures came after Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye) ended their engagement and remarried Brooke Logan (Katherine Kelly Lang).

Deacon and Taylor are slowly moving toward each other, rather than him fully recommitting to Sheila. The good doctor is considering Deacon as a potential post-Ridge option, and there are no current alternatives. So, an affair appears nearly inevitable.

The Wedding Rejection Is The Appetizer

Daytime is about drama, as all devotees of this genre know. So, Sheila could stomach Deacon not pressing the issue with Hope.

However, Sheila will inevitably learn Deacon’s inner desire. That point in the storyline will likely lead to a classic villainous explosion, with plenty of drama and no easy solutions. It will be great soap.
