Clearly, we are talking about Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna). A lot of longtime viewers just can’t understand why he is so angry all the time and why he spends so much of his energy undermining Gio Palmieri (Giovanni Mazza).
Not only that, but he just seems to be raging over one thing or another and a lot of people think this has to do with the aftermath of Sam McCall’s death and his stressful work as a cop. Not only that, but he’s also projecting his fear for his son Rocco onto Gio, too.
Clearly, General Hospital fans had a lot to say about the matter on social media.
Some even commented with, “I cannot believe the writers keep changing the whole personalities of characters! Dante always blaming Gio, (his own son) that he supposedly wants to get to know? He’s just been such an ass! Blows up all the time! Did losing Sam make him lose his soul?”
Another critic of the soap wrote, “I feel like this is all building up to something like Gio dies or almost dies and he regrets being a jerk or everyone hates Dante. Otherwise its just another non-story.”
And then there was this comment as well: “I find it insulting that they’re revising Dante’s character and his fatherhood for the sake of cheap drama.”
“I feel they’re making him ridiculously irrational to portray Lulu as a reasonable person, because her introduction was awful. Yeah, Dante has PTSD and trauma and he lost a person. So what!? That doesn’t mean your entire character growth is thrown out the window!”
It goes without saying that General Hospital fans will simply have to tune in each and every day to find out what will happen next.

I don't feel the loss of Sam is causing Dante's behavior. I feel he is upset with BL for not telling him she was pregnant and addressing that upset to Gio. Dante has become a very demanding and self righteous person which he wasn't previously. Perhaps PTSD returning and he needs to seek professional help to get himself back on track. To this point, no one has questioned why Dante is behaving the way he is. Lulu came back to canvas with an attitude and now Dante is having the same type behavior. Thank the soap gods the two did not reunite as the two would be even worse that Drew/Willow in my opinion.
