That premise sets the stage for another confrontation between the Forrester family patriarch and Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye), who he seemingly wants to be the co-head of Forrester Creations.
FC is co-headed by Steffy Forrester Finnegan (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood), who has a tacit truce with her father’s renewed wife, Brooke Logan (Katherine Kelly Lang).
But everyone at the family’s fashion business knows that Eric remains a vibrant and vital part of the company he and his late wife, Stephanie Forrester (Susan Flannery), co-founded.
Viewers are being asked to follow along now that the Luna Nozawa (Lisa Yamada) saga came to a sudden end. New storylines include emerging tension inside the Forrester family and with the Spencer clan.
Eric and Stephanie were a legendary couple in this version of Los Angeles, California. But eventually, Brooke turned Eric’s head, and one of the show’s greatest conflicts was born.
It’s been more than a decade since Flannery chose to retire. Her final scene with Lang will always remain with the greatest in daytime history.
Brooke and Stephanie came to care about each other, with their common love for Eric serving as an arguable bonding point. Digitally skipping to today, Donna is the renewed love of his life, and her defense of Eric follows in the footsteps of Stephanie’s, Brooke’s, and the other women who loved him with all their hearts.
Brooke and Ridge believed it was best to give Katie Logan (Heather Tom) some time away from work. She and the Spencer family, along with Electra Forrester (Laneya Grace), were tormented by Luna for months. But that ended when Dylan (Sydney Bullock) accidentally hit her on a dark and soapy night.
Luna’s death released all connected characters to move onto their next storylines. One of those tales involves FC hiring an outside public relations firm to handle this so-called crisis management issue, which sidelined Katie.
While Katie initially agreed with the company’s decision, she’s now reexamining what happened. Even though Katie is the head of FC’s PR department, Ridge and Brooke are blocking her from being involved in dealing with the post-Luna response.
Bill Spencer (Don Diamont) wanted Katie to join him at Spencer Publications for years, but she wouldn’t. That option was always available, but wasn’t one she even considered in recent years because they were divorced and not always on good terms.
However, their recent reconciliation changes Katie’s perspective. It appears that Brooke’s stance, in particular, is motivating Katie to look at Bill’s pitch again.
Joining Spencer Publications would be a big move. Brooke and Ridge would likely tell Katie that she overreacted, but that wouldn’t be fully accurate. This change would also establish a renewed source of conflict between the families, and daytime is about drama.
