Meghan Markle Claims She Made Mistakes In Harper Bazaar Cover Story

Meghan Markle is getting candid about her life as a member of the Royal Family, her businesses, her interests and her family. In her latest sit-down with Harper Bazaar’s Kaitlyn Greenbridge, the Duchess touched on a lot of topics regarding where she is presently in her life, five years after leaving the Royal Family life behind to pursue Hollywood exploits.

This is coming after the Duchess faced several back to back backlashes, from her surprise attendance at Balenciaga’s Paris Fashion Show – but this was only because she chose to drive past Princess Diana’s accident site with her feet up on the car – to the latest one, where she had staff announce her presence in an empty room with only two people, one of which was her venerable self.

So yeah, when it comes to mistakes, this Duchess knows plenty. Here’s what she has to say about them.

Meghan Markle Reveals She Makes Mistakes As Much As Anybody Else

Meghan Markle, like any other self-aware person in this world, knows that she’s not above making mistakes. The most important thing is that she learns something from it and becomes a better person because of it.

“You learn not to do it again,” she told Greenbridge of how she handles mistakes. “If it all goes swimmingly, you don’t learn from it. If you don’t learn anything, you’re not going to grow.”

She later added: “There’s no such thing as perfect. I, too, get to make mistakes.”

“There’s also not a lot of fun in trying to be perfect,” she continued. “I don’t like things that feel overly realised. If you overwork the dough, it’s not going to rise. And sometimes I think the stress that people put on moments … they are so consumed in them that you lose the fun of why you are doing something.”

Meghan Markle Says You Lose Yourself When You Let Other People Dictate Your Actions

When it comes to living life and building businesses, Meghan Markle knows that you have to have a thick spine to survive the thing known simply as public opinion.

Touching on this topic, Meghan said she’s since built herself a thicker skin that criticisms can’t penetrate.

“I think the moment that you start making all of your personal decisions based on external judgment, then you lose your authenticity,” she shared.
