Days Of Our Lives Comings & Goings Dec 1-5: 2 Major Returns, Interesting Recast News

Days of Our Lives spoilers suggest some bombshells in Salem during the week of December 1-5! There’s also some major casting news to talk about, too! Find out who’s coming and who’s going on the Peacock soap over the next five days (and beyond), by reading below.

Peter Blake Recast News

It’s almost impossible to keep massive casting news under wraps where Days of Our Lives is concerned, as the daytime drama films eight months ahead of schedule; however, somehow the soap pulled off a coup where the Peter Blake recast is concerned.

One Life to Live alum Dan Gauthier, who once played Kevin Buchanan on that soap, is slated to step into the Peter Blake role, debuting on Thursday, December 18.

Longtime Days viewers may recall that the character was originally played by actor Jason Brooks from 1993 to 1998 and is the brother of Kristen DiMera (Stacy Haiduk).

Kristen and Peter were adopted by Stefano DiMera (Joseph Mascolo) and are not “blood” children of his. Additionally, Peter had a romance with Jennifer Horton Deveraux (Melissa Reeves).

Two Major Character Returns

As per the Days extended winter video that was released during the week of November 24-28, Peter Porte will reprise his Dimitri Von Leusner character as Leo Stark (Greg Rikaart) and Javi Hernandez’s (Al Caleron) wedding approaches.

Leo proposed to Javi during the Friday, November 28 episode, so fans should brace for Dimitri’s return sometime after a wedding date is set. It looks like there’s been a misunderstanding surrounding Dimitri’s disappearance.

While he had stated he was leaving town with an inmate he fell in love with, after his prison release, there’s a good chance he got kidnapped by the same person who is kidnapping all the other DiMeras; however, only time will tell, so fans will need to watch the soap to see how Dimitri’s story unravels.

Plus, Wes Rasmey is slated to reprise a role he played back in 2009. Owen Kent was a character who worked with EJ DiMera (then played by James Scott, now played by Dan Feuerriegel) to kidnap Stephanie Johnson (then played by Shelley Hennig, now played by Abigail Klein).

It looks like lightning will strike twice, as Stephanie will get kidnapped once again, but will Owen be behind it? Back in 2009, he was sent to prison for his crimes, but escaped during transport, never to be heard or talked about again … until now!
