Taylor hasn’t reacted like she did when returning to Los Angeles, California. She was suffering from broken heart syndrome and devoted far too much emotion to wallowing over Ridge’s ongoing connection to Brooke.

This time around, Taylor has steadied herself by focusing on work. That led to accepting Deacon as a patient and their connection sparking, but not yet transforming into a love match.

Sheila Carter’s Unwanted Comeback Happens?

Deacon mentioned that the end of Sheila’s name is Sharpe. Part of the reason this couple bonded and then married included their shared experience of achieving redemption.

Sheila naturally feels that she’s been robbed of the remainder of Luna Nozawa’s (Lisa Yamada) life. While Sheila knows her granddaughter created the problems that led to her death, she also feels great compassion for her. Deacon and Taylor are united in not grieving for Luna.

The shifting points of commonality that Deacon shares with Taylor appear to be building toward a tipping point. There is little doubt that the old Sheila, whose last name was only Carter, will reemerge if her husband and the woman she currently credits with saving her marriage realize a relationship.
