To be honest, it’s not everyday you wake up to see a Duchess jumping in joy at her home in Los Angeles, right next to a mildly impressed husband, and of course, an equally over-enthused friend.
But then again how many of us “private” people would carefully set up a camera, color grade it, and then celebrate the win of our favorite sporting team?
So yeah, fans were not subtle in calling Meghan Markle out this time for her “hypocrisy” in posting such a private family moment.
Meghan Markle was brimming with joy in a short clip posted to her Instagram Story on Saturday, Nov. 1, to the extent she shared a PDA moment with her husband.
In the clip, we see her dance in from offscreen, race to her husband and smooch him on the lips. She then went towards her friend, who shared her joy and eagerly stood up to join in the cheer.
Truly, it was a beautiful moment for the family, and was the first glimpse the public has had of their home theater.
Fans were quickly pointing out Prince Harry’s detached energy and questioning why he wasn’t joining in on the fun going on around him.
Well, Kelly McKee Zajfen, co-founder of Alliance of Moms, reposted the video on her Instagram, and for some context, wrote, “Best game ever! Sorry H your team didn’t win but mine did. Dodgers I LOVE YOU!”
This means the 44-year-old was celebrating the Los Angeles Dodgers’ 2025 World Series victory, and if Kelly is to believed, she and Meghan are team Dodgers and Harry must have been for the losing team, Toronto Blue Jays.
Still, when it comes down to authenticity and privacy, fans couldn’t help but raise a few eyebrows.
Fans were, as usual, innovative with their jokes, and I’m sure no matter how cold the weather in Montecito has turned, she’ll needless feel the heat from it.
“This is irritating to see. Fake AF. Of course it was NOT staged because, you know, the camera was perfectly positioned to capture everyone,” one fan quipped, adding, “Oh my gosh! Look how happy we are and so into each other. See, we have a friend and it’s not my bottle of wine.”
A popular royalist account mocked the move, writing, “Whenever my team wins, I immediately stop celebrating so I can set up my phone and record my boyfriend’s reaction – even if he couldn’t care less – because that’s totally normal behavior. Forget being in the moment.
This is why every marriage proposal should be filmed: always stop what you’re doing and hit record.”
“Have they taken this from a security camera!… Desperate times!!,” another blasted, while a fourth joked: “Don’t forget to film it. Don’t forget to film it. Don’t forget to film it.”
