Connecting with Holden Novak (Nathan Owens) isn’t in the same category as conspiring with her late aunt to kill her parents and maternal family members. However, manipulative behavior appears to be part of a pattern.

Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) was worried that Claire would fall under Holden’s spell when she agreed to travel with him to Los Angeles, California.

Viewers wondered why Claire allowed Kyle to know those details, likely realizing that prodding jealousy was part of the equation.

Claire is still in LA, while Kyle had to fly home to help his parents attempt to fend off an anticipated business attack from Victor Newman (Eric Braeden). So, there will be a gap between now and Kyle learning the full truth of what Claire did.

Jordan Howard Remains The Bad Influence

Jordan Howard (Colleen Zenk) stole Eve, later dubbed Claire, from Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) and Cole Howard (J. Eddie Peck) at birth. That heinous act and the many others that followed naturally impacted Claire.

However, Erin’s character is a grown adult. She’s removed in both real- and soap-time from Jordan’s grip.

It appears Claire is suffering more from inexperience with matters of the heart as opposed to revisiting the demons Jordan injected into her mind and heart.

Her impulsive decision to go to LA with Jordan and then to be with him resulted in guilty feelings, which confirms that Claire still has feelings for Kyle.

Holden Novak’s Backstory Isn’t Revealed

Holden’s past isn’t something he wants to focus on. Yet, he agreed to be Claire’s tour guide.

Taking her to The Shadow Room was intriguing. From a psychological point of view, why would Holden introduce Claire to the location where he must have known a run-in with Sienna Bacall (Tamara Braun) was possible?

Audra Charles (Zuleyka Silver) is soon to arrive in LA as well. Her persona makes it more likely that Claire will gain deeper insight into whatever negative situation Audra and Holden were involved in when they both lived in California. So, the intention could be to push the plot in doing so.

Kyle Abbott Needs Time And Space

Claire told Kyle she didn’t want to be smothered by him. Yet, she paused when he said he was returning to Genoa City, Wisconsin, further confirming her unsettled state of mind.

Jack Abbott’s (Peter Bergman) need for his son to help him defend Jabot allowed Harrison Abbott (Redding Munsell) to have a great Halloween.

Claire realized that she wanted to be part of the event Harrison planned for her to be included in when she saw the photo Kyle texted to her.

Time and space are what Kyle has realized through his dad’s summons. With that, he’ll be able to digest what he saw in LA.

That, along with his eventual knowledge of the romantic connection Claire sought with Holden, will alter how Kyle views his relationship with the woman he loves.
