The Bold and the Beautiful spoilers document that Deacon Sharpe (Sean Kanan) reconciled with his wife. While remnant thoughts of Taylor Hayes (Rebecca Budig) remain,
Deacon is sincere about being a good husband to Sheila Carter Sharpe (Kimberlin Brown). So, it’s not a surprise that he’s called to defend her again.
Hope Logan (Annika Noelle) accepted Liam Spencer’s (Scott Clifton) engagement offer. No drama was involved in this quick courtship because the three-time married and divorced couple had matured.
It’s all strawberries and chocolate for the projected remarriage ceremony except for one soapy wrinkle. Their daughter, Beth Spencer (Jordyn Lynn Ariza), doesn’t want her step-grandmother there.
Carter Walton (Lawrence Saint-Victor) is the go-to officiant on this show whenever a legal official is needed to preside over knot-tying events. Hopefully, he’ll be present at Hope and Liam 4.0 because having Beth as the officiant would break the suspension of disbelief scenario.
She is a child, not an adult. Whatever level of cute is intended, it would be ridiculous, even on a soap opera, to present a marriage, or in this case, a fourth marriage, as a ceremony where an elementary-schooler has this type of authority.
Of course, the legality of having an unlicensed officiant seal the deal for Hope and Liam would also be in play. Hopefully, Carter will be present, and Beth will be allowed to play a heartfelt role. That would be fitting and make soapy sense.
The setup is clear. Deacon and Taylor had a momentary connection. He wanted it to be more, and Taylor rightfully corrected him.
Deacon wants his marriage to revert to what he thought it was, a loving connection between two lost souls. Their mutual stabilization is a bright spot on this show, and hopefully continues indefinitely.
Here’s hoping that the brilliant pairing of two great actors, Brown and Kanan, isn’t broken by Deacon’s spark with Taylor.
Sheila saved Taylor from falling off a building. She also saved Kelly Spencer (Sophia Paras McKinlay) from drowning. The old Sheila might not have done either.
Deacon’s love has helped Brown’s character to grow immensely. She feared losing him and is genuinely happy that they’ve reconciled because her life without him would likely rapidly decline. Now, he’ll need to defend his wife and insist that she’s with him at Hope’s remarriage ceremony.
With whatever Beth wants, Hope needs to respect her father’s wife and ensure that Sheila is present at the wedding.
She is the stepmother of the bride, who, most recently, took a bullet from her granddaughter, Luna Nozawa (Lisa Yamada), to prevent Steffy Forrester Finnegan (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) from being shot. Wood’s character will also probably lobby for Sheila to be at the wedding as well.
