Days Of Our Lives Spoilers: Why Doesn’t Amy Realize How Much Pressure She Put On Sophia?

Days Of Our Lives spoilers reveal that Sophia Choi (Rachel Boyd) has slipped into what Sarah Kiriakis (Lindsey Godfrey) called “selective mutism.” Sophia has been under a great deal of pressure ever since she found out she was pregnant.

Most of it was from her mother, Amy Choi (Shi Ne Nielson) who doesn’t seem to recognize that she is the one who laid most of that pressure on her.

Sophia Choi Was Forced To Carry The Baby

Sophia wanted to go out of town to have an abortion when she found out she was pregnant. Tate Black (Leo Howard) had agreed to take Sophia wherever she needed to go.

Unfortunately, Amy found out about their plans and refused to allow Sophia to have an abortion. Amy, instead, insisted on Tate and Sophia raising the baby together.

Sophia finally talked Amy into considering adoption, however, she wanted certain things out of the adoptive family that she could not get.

When Johnny and Chanel Dupree (Raven Bowens) finally convinced them to allow them to adopt the baby, Johnny backed out. Sophia was back to having to raise her child on her own again.

Amy Choi Wanted The Baby In The Family

Amy wanted Sophia to keep that baby and raise it herself. Sophia was not ready to be a mom and tried to explain that. Sophia was determined to find someone else to adopt the baby and she didn’t have any luck. Instead, When Sophia had her son, she had been all along in her room in the apartment.

Sophia then lied to her mother and Tate by telling both of them that the baby has been born in Chicago instead of her room in Salem. Then she took that baby to the fire house and left him there.

Sophia then went back home and cleaned herself up as well as her bedroom. Sophia then pretended to be pregnant until she chose to let Tate know the baby was born.

Sophia Choi Knows How To Cover Her Tracks

With the help of Melinda Trask (Tina Huang), Sophia managed to cover her tracks, at least for a while.

However, Sophia’s lies and her slip-ups came together to give too many clues. Brady Black realized the truth about the baby’s gender and that he was already in Salem. It was finally proven that the firehouse baby was Sophia’s son, but Tate was not his father.

Now that Sophia has experienced this break, Amy is blaming everyone but herself. Unfortunately, No one else demanded that Sophia keep that baby and raise it.

Amy wanted to take all of Sophia’s choices away and force her to take responsibility for this child. How does Amy not see that this break is partially her fault as well?
