General Hospital Spoilers: The Fans are Furious — Willow Isn’t This Dumb!

General Hospital spoilers gossip the GH fanbase is up in arms as they watch Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen) continue to succumb to Drew Cain’s (Cameron Mathison) manipulative ways.

Can someone tell the writers we’re completely over this storyline? All of us may not have loved the meek teacher who has no personality at all, but the weak-willed and cult-indoctrinated Willow doesn’t seem to be cutting it for fans either.

Was there no happy medium between the two? As Drew sat on that hospital bed telling Willow they could use it against Michael Corinthos (Rory Gibson) in court if he tried to withhold the kids from Willow because she moved back in with Drew, you could practically hear the fans lamenting all over the country asking the same question:

Why is Willow so stupid? Oh, that’s right, she’s not.

Manipulation Station

Willow seems to be stuck in this black hole with Drew and struggling to move forward without him.

Despite the truth coming out that Drew slept with Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) and hid it from Willow for more than a year, and despite that truth having come out on his wedding day to her where she left him stranded at the altar, she still took the guy back.

Sure, she said it was because she thought Drew would help her get her kids back, but ever since she made that claim, it has seemed a lot more like she’s open to reuniting with him in some way.

Drew’s Big Ask Has Big Consequences

When Drew asked Willow to come home with him and move back into his place, she was surprised and seemed like she didn’t know what to say.

Was that because she didn’t want to, or is she just conflicted about how it will impact her standing with Michael and nothing more? Concerned that Michael would be unhappy with her decision to cohabitate with the Congressman again, she didn’t want to risk him reneging on his decision to let her see Wiley and Amelia Corinthos (Viron Weaver, Sequoia and Serenity Mork Macko).

Drew’s insistence that him doing so would only strengthen their case for custody was fabricated out of thin air.

The fans erupted online after Monday’s episode, insisting Willow cannot be this dumb! One fan uttered they were, “Over this whole story,” while another commented, “I’m so done with this Drew stuff, it’s been old for months!”

Is It All an Act?

So, is Willow playing dumb, or is she actually this dumb? That remains to be seen. Telling Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst) that she only got back with Drew to get her kids back worked for a moment, but many fans are starting to doubt that Willow has the resolve to not fall prey to his manipulations again.

After all, her history being brought up in a cult did her no favors. Has she seen the errors of her ways, or has she really lost it this time? I have a sneaking suspicion that we aren’t going to see her character written off entirely, and that means even if she did shoot Drew, she’s not going down for it in the traditional sense.

A stint in Spring Ridge sounds more like it. Will she pick up any street smarts while she’s in there? I sure hope so! Keep checking back with us, right here, every day for more GH news and spoilers.
