The lawsuit for sexual harassment and discrimination against Corday Productions and ex-executive producer Albert Alarr, had been going on for over a year, according to the LA Times.
The agreement, lodged on Thursday in the Los Angeles County Superior Court, resolves a noteworthy case that loomed over the longstanding daytime series.
Zucker claimed she experienced retaliation, such as salary reductions and her character being eliminated from the show, following her report of sexual harassment and misconduct.
Several actresses banded together with her when she first lodged the complaint, none of them currently on the roster either.
Alarr and Corday Productions denied any violation of the law, with Alarr’s lawyer asserting that he settled solely to “conclude the disagreement and progress onward.” Zucker played the role of Nicole Walker on Days of our Lives from 1998 until 2024.
Court records indicate that the settlement was officially submitted to the Los Angeles County Superior Court, bringing an end to Zucker’s lawsuit from February 2024.
The specifics of the agreement are kept confidential. Alarr’s lawyer, Robert Barta, confirmed that his client continues to refute all accusations but has consented to the settlement in order to move forward from the conflict.
Zucker’s lawyer has not made any public statements regarding the agreement, and Corday Productions, the company behind Days of our Lives, has not released any new comments since the filing.
Previously, the company dismissed Zucker’s claims, asserting that her allegations were “without merit.”
In her lawsuit, Zucker claimed that Alarr was involved in “extensive and severe harassment,” which included inappropriate touching and sexual comments.
She asserted that after she and other cast members, notably Nadia Bjorlin (Chloe Lane) raised concerns regarding his behavior on set, she faced retaliation, a video being posted by Bjorlin.
Arianne reported retaliation such as a pay cut, the removal of her travel stipend, and ultimately being written off the show in mid-2023.
Zucker’s legal action accused Corday Productions and its owner, Ken Corday, of permitting the hostile atmosphere to continue and of punishing her for voicing her concerns.
Alarr’s lawyer refuted all claims, while the company maintained that it had fully cooperated with an internal investigation and subsequently terminated Alarr.
