King Charles’ Reconciliation With Prince Harry May Push Prince William Away

According to an insider, King Charles risks ruining his relationship with Prince William if he keeps forging a peace pact with Prince Harry. Per the insider, William is still so far removed from any idea of reconciliation with his brother as can be.

In fact, relations are still so poor that not even Harry’s poor attempt at a brotherly joke could stir him to engage.

Does King Charles Risk Making An Enemy Out of Prince William?

King Charles and Prince Harry are currently working on rebuilding their bond, but could this come at the expense of one beloved son and heir?

Speaking on this, Royal expert Richard Fitzwilliams explained that the King’s ongoing cancer battle makes it harder for Harry to keep his distance. As he said in his May BBC interview, he doesn’t know how long his father has got left.

So yeah, maybe the rift is a strong one to bridge, but Harry would love to attempt it so that, at the very least, Archie and Lilibet, will get to say they have some grandpa memories during their childhood.

As any royal news follower knows, Thomas Markle – Meghan Markle’s father – is so far removed from their world he might as well have dropped out of the face of the earth.

“The very public royal rift has been a source of grief for him. It has meant that he has not seen his grandchildren for years,” Fitzwilliams told Fox News Digital. “Obviously, reconciliation, especially when illness is involved, is highly desirable. But for it to work, there must be mutual trust.”

Having his children reconnect with his father is one reason to push for the rift to end, but some suspect it may be to gather more royal fodder for his own selfish commercial purposes.

But the biggest risk Charles faces in his road to make peace with his younger son remains, according to royal analyst Hilary Fordwich, the danger of creating a barrier between himself and his eldest son, Prince William.

“If the king concedes to a meeting with Harry, he risks alienating Prince William,” she warned, adding, “If he doesn’t, he will deepen the rift with Harry and risk more backlash from his son, who was already upset last time when the king had ‘other priorities.”
