The Young And The Restless Spoilers Monday, August 25: Lily Confronts Holden – Victor Accuses Cane of Dirty Money Dealings

The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers for Monday, August 25 reveal that Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) suspects Holden Novak (Nathan Owens) and Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) exposes Cane Ashby’s (Billy Flynn) back door dealing.

Cane is summoned to meet with Victor, who accuses him of dirty tricks. Victor is aware of Colin Atkinson’s (Tristan Rogers) final swindle and thinks that Cane is using this money to fund his endeavors.

Cane has vowed to everyone that his late father got clean before he died so he no doubt will take umbrage over this assertion.

Victor Scolds Cane

Y&R fans will remember that Colin was a scammer and a conman. But according to Cane, he repented and was rehabbed before he died.

Still, many believe that Cane built his empire with shady means. Does Victor have evidence to back up his dirty money allegations?

We predict that if Victor shows Cane evidence of wrongdoing that he will deny and defend.

Lily Has Suspicions

Meanwhile, Lily wants to get to the bottom of Cane’s agenda in Genoa City. Cane has refused to spill all of the beans, so Lily decides to interrogate Holden.

She confronts him in Chancellor Park, but Holden insists that he is just a hired hand with no knowledge of Cane’s strategy.

Lily keeps pushing, but Holden promises that he has no insider knowledge. He is grateful to be working for Cane and does what he’s told.

What Happens Next in Genoa City?

According to Holden, Cane has not trusted him with any secrets but Lily clearly is not satisfied with his answers. Did she really think it would be that easy to crack Holden? Lily may have to join Victor in an alliance to take down Cane by pretending to be on his side.

If she does so, she will have to deal with Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) who has been tapped to be  Cane’s right-hand woman. Do you think that these two alpha females would be able to do business or do you see catfights in the future?
