Daphne returns at a fraught time, coinciding with Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton) learning the truth about his cancer diagnosis. In fact, shady Grace Buckingham (Cassandra Creech) manufactured the whole drama, hoping for a big payoff.

Her sinister ex husband, Reese Buckingham (Wayne Brady), was under water with gambling debts and Grace was tapped to save the day.

Liam And Hope Called Grace A Hero

Then the cracks in the story started to appear. People were stunned to learn that Bill Spencer (Don Diamont) paid a million dollars directly to Grace before Liam’s experimental brain procedure.

But Finn Finnegan (Tanner Novlan) got sus and confronted Grace who broke down and admitted she needed the money to pay off Reese’s gambling debts.

She begged Finn to keep her secret, but his oath to do no harm means something to him so he refused.

Hope and Liam have shared a lot of time together as he heals, reliving old memories and delighting in their status as co-parents. Hope is the one to comfort Liam after the big reveal.
