Donald Trump Will Pardon P Diddy With Conditions?

P Diddy applied for bail while he awaits his sentencing but will President Donald Trump grant him a pardon?  If he does, there might be conditions attached. Read on for the latest updates. 

Still In Custody

Despite being found not guilty of Sex Trafficking and Racketeering Conspiracy, P Diddy remains in custody at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn.

After a protracted trial, he was eventually only found guilty of two “counts of violating the Mann Act, which prohibits the interstate transportation of prostitutes,” per TMZ. And, they are not serious charges in comparison to those originally leveled against him after his arrest.

Recently, the rapper’s legal team put forward a $50 million bail offer, but Judge Arun Subramanian hasn’t ruled on it yet. And the condition for a pardon by Donald Trump now allegedly hangs on her decision.

A Pardon Is Incoming?

In the video below, you can see where Trump responded to questions about a potential pardon for Diddy. At the time, he expressed the opinion that a lot of money had been wasted on the trial.

He also said that he would not make a ruling based on personal likes or dislikes. But he would consider a pardon if the evidence warranted it.

Remember, Diddy said some harsh things about Trump ahead of the election. So, it might not be about friendship these days. 

This week, TMZ reported that a pardon is under consideration. Citing a well-placed source, the outlet wrote:

Donald Trump is “more than open” to pardoning Diddy, but he wants to wait to see what Judge Arun Subramanian does with Diddy’s latest bail petition. We’re told if Diddy is granted bail, Trump will not make a decision on a pardon until Diddy is sentenced. If the judge denies bail, a decision will be made immediately.

Pardons Granted So Far

When Todd and Julie Chrisley were hoping for a pardon, we reported that under the Trump Administration, things had changed a bit. Based on his own experiences where Trump believed he’s been unfairly targeted, that sort of thing would be considered.

We quoted The New York Times as saying that Trump believes there’s been a “weaponization of the justice system.” So, the appeals process now factors that in. In the case of Todd and Julie Chrisley, their pardon arrived, and now they adjust to life outside of federal prison.

Other people who were recently pardoned included anti-abortion activists and Mark Bashaw, who had refused to comply with COVID mandates like mask-wearing. He claimed he didn’t cooperate given his religious beliefs. Of course, there were also a lot of January 6th protestors who got pardons.
