The Bold and the Beautiful spoilers document that Brooke Logan (Katherine Kelly Lang) believes that Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye) loves her. She recognizes that he cares for Taylor Hayes (Rebecca Budig). But Brooke continues to insist that his destiny is not with her.

Ridge’s agitation with Brooke isn’t based on an outright rejection of Brooke’s words, which represent far more than a theory. She bases her belief on the enormous personal history they share.

Who wouldn’t believe that a man wanted to get back together and would do so after being married to him a B&B record eight times.

Those unions also rank with the greatest volume of marriages in soap history across all of the many great shows that have been part of this beloved genre.

Eric Forrester Won’t Stop Lobbying

Eric Forrester (John McCook) was married to Brooke. Generally, a father and son marrying the same woman would raise eyebrows, but not in this version of Los Angeles, California.

As devoted audience members know, Eric married Brooke first despite the fact that she fell in love with Ridge before that first union. Brooke and Eric were married twice and have two children.

But that didn’t prevent Eric from realizing that Brooke’s true love was Ridge. He reached that conclusion long ago and still holds it because Eric also firmly believes that Ridge’s true love is Brooke, not Taylor.

Brooke Logan Sees Over Taylor Hayes

Not only is Brooke physically taller than Taylor, but she also looks down on her rival.

Fans recall when these two characters briefly forged an alliance that became a friendship. That was during the period when Krista Allen portrayed Taylor.

That truce happened because both ladies became disenchanted with Ridge’s treatment of them. They rightfully concluded that he was keeping both on a string and believed that either lady would always be available whenever he wanted either.

Now, a handful of years later, and even though Taylor is engaged to Ridge, Brooke is confident that he’ll see the daytime light and not remarry the character Budig now plays.

Brooke also holds a new wild card, as Ridge’s detested brother, Nick Marone (Jack Wagner), is back in town and is pushing hard for a reunion.

Ridge Forrester Wants No Drama

Ridge hasn’t denied loving Brooke and has told her and others as much. However, he also knows that Lang’s character sabotaged their relationships on many past occasions.

Ridge also undermined or wrecked some of their unions, but Brooke did damage more often, at least in his mind. So, last year, he gave in and committed to Taylor to settle his life.

But the heart wants what the heart wants, as Brooke and Eric are telling Ridge. Kaye’s character is attempting to will himself away from Brooke’s apparently timeless pull. But it feels like Ridge is lying to himself and everyone else.
