General Hospital Alum Avery Pohl (Esme Prince) In Disbelief – ‘Someone Pinch Me’

General Hospital (GH) spoilers suggest it’s been a hot minute since fans have seen Esme Prince. That’s because the young woman was presumed dead after she took a tumble off a ship, along with her ex-boyfriend, Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Chavez).

Both are gone from the canvas; however, Esme’s portrayer, Avery Pohl, is set to return for some daytime drama fun (sort of) very soon.

Avery Pohl’s Daytime Emmy Nomination

While Esme was detested by fans, Pohl was respected as an incredible talent. She recently received a 2025 Daytime Emmy nod in the category of Outstanding Guest Performer.

Pohl posted the news on Instagram, stating, “Someone pinch me! To be nominated next to my TV mom [Alley Mills, ex-Heather Webber] and one of my close friends Jacqueline Grace Lopez (ex-Allison “Blaze” Rogers) is more than a dream!”

Pohl continued in her caption with, “I am so honored and grateful. Thank you, thank you, thank you to everyone at General Hospital and [executive producer] Frank Valentini for all the wonderful memories and opportunities over the years. See you all October 17th!”

The Comment Section Was On Fire!

General Hospital colleagues jumped into the comment section to offer support. Pohl’s onscreen GH dad, Jon Lindstrom (ex-Ryan Chamberlain & Kevin Collins), congratulated the young actress in her comment section, saying, “To say I’m proud of you would be a gross understatement. But to be doubly proud of you and Alley just makes my year!”

In addition, Lopez chimed in with, “So pumped! We did it, cutie!” Plus, Eden McCoy (Josslyn Jacks), whose character was a rival of Esme’s, wrote, “Yes Avery!!!!” (heart emoji), while Sofia Mattsson (Sasha Corbin) commented, “Congratulations gorgeous!!!”

Former GHer, Jophielle Love (ex-Violet Finn) wrote, “(fire emoji) Best mean girl ever!” Lastly, Adam Huss (ex-Nicholas Cassadine) commented with, “The best (four heart emojis, four hand claps). Adore you. So well deserved.”
