The Young And The Restless Spoilers: Mariah’s “Victim” Pops Up When She Least Expects It

The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that Mariah Copeland’s (Camryn Grimes) being eaten alive by guilt over killing a stranger while out of town on a business trip. Some tourists enjoy dinner and a show, Mariah is one.

Finally, last week we saw her smother The Stranger (Michael Swan) with a pillow. She wasn’t taking no for an answer, either, when he protested she smothered harder. Oy vey, what has Mariah gone and done? You may be surprised!

Is Mariah a Killer?

Mariah’s latest flashbacks (in black and white no less, so film noir) show the reason she is pulling away from her loved ones.

Then again, when it looked like her mom Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) killed Heather Stevens (Vail Bloom) we later found out this was all an illusion. Could the same be true for her cult-raised daughter? Soaps excel at twists and turns, and we suspect that Mariah’s flashbacks could be erroneous.

Mariah’s Killer Instinct

What we need to see are additional flashbacks to really know what happened. Mariah was drunk and as such her memories are suspect. What does she think she did—all by herself dispose of a large male in the ocean or under the no-tell motel bed?

Maybe at some point Mariah panicked and ran. In all honesty, is she even sure of anything that transpired after she got blitzed?

Mariah may not have known The Stranger had a weak pulse; what are the odds he eventually came around or someone rescued him?

Mariah will be gobsmacked if this man comes looking for her!

Mariah Can’t Unrun Her Guilt

He could find her if she left behind an identifier, or if she told him her life story. But this man being alive may be bad news if he decides to blackmail her. Plus we have an interesting side story in the fact that Cane Ashby (Billy Flynn) wants her investigated—what if anything does he know about this rendezvous?
