The Young and the Restless Spoilers: Phyllis pursues Cane, Will Ashby Fall Into The Trap?

The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) is trying hard to work her magic on Cane Ashby (Billy Flynn). The question remains: Is Phyllis genuine or is she working to trap Cane for the Abbotts and Newmans?

On Friday’s show, Phyllis cornered Amanda Sinclair (Mishael Morgan) about scoring a meeting with Cane. She thinks Cane is someone she wants as a partner and believes she could be beneficial to his end game.

Amanda tried to brush Phyllis off and did not commit to setting up a meeting with the mysterious Cane. However, Cane crashes the pow-wow and gives Phyllis something to think about.

The Young and the Restless spoilers say that Cane was open to working with Phyllis. He advised her he was familiar with her particular skill set when it comes to playing dirty. But he was unsure if she was comfortable with betraying the people she cared about, such as Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson), Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow), and Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman).

Shocked, Phyllis assured Cane she could betray whoever was necessary to make him happy. She just wanted to be part of the team, even in a smaller role.

Cane’s Plan Is Mysterious

Cane’s plan for the Genoa City elite remains unclear. The Young and the Restless viewers know he wants to target Billy, Victor Newman (Eric Braeden), Jack, Nick, and possibly Devon Winters (Bryton James). However, the business mogul has not revealed any part of his plan to anyone, not even his attorney, Amanda, or to Holden, who seems to be his closest business partner.

Phyllis Sets A Trap

Most Y&R viewers agree that Phyllis is setting Cane up. She could be working with any of the GC elite. She likely will report to Billy and Nick, as they are her closest allies. The real question is: Will Cane fall for it?

Cane would know how close Phyllis is to Billy and Nick. Perhaps, he allows Phyllis to believe he trusts her to turn the tables and target Nick or Billy in his next scheme. Cane’s long game is a mystery, which makes predicting his next move next to impossible.

One thing we know for sure, Phyllis won’t stop pursuing Cane’s trust, which has to be part of the Abbott and Newman game plan to deal with Ashby.
