General Hospital Spoilers: Here’s Why Drew Can’t Leave PC and Stay Gone

General Hospital spoilers reveal the air in Port Charles is thick with disdain for Drew Quartermaine (Cameron Mathison), with fans clamoring for his exit for months now, all thanks to his despicable antics.

His manipulations — paying a Germany burn clinic nurse to turn Willow Corinthos (Katelyn MacMullen) away when she flew across the pond to visit Michael Corinthos (Rory Gibson), and emotionally traumatizing Wiley Corinthos (Viron Weaver) with lies, as well as blackmailing Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr) — have made him the most loathed villain on GH.

Yet, whispers of a lingering storyline with Kim Nero (Tamara Braun), absent since 2020, suggest Drew can’t vanish for good. Her last appearance revealed a baby, Andy, named after Drew (then Andrew Cain), hinting at a paternity twist.

Could Kim’s return with a child claiming Drew as the father keep him tethered to Port Charles?

Why Fans Want Drew Gone

Drew’s fall from Navy SEAL hero to scheming menace has fans raging online, with posts like “Drew’s gotta go! Wiley’s trauma was too much!”

His lies, including ensuring Wiley overheard Michael didn’t want him or Ameilia Corinthos (Sequoia and Serenity Mork Macko) due to his new baby with Sasha Gilmore (Sofia Mattsson), and his fling with Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) while pursuing Willow Corinthos (Katelyn MacMullen), have torched his redemption.

His shady esplanade deal and blackmail of Portia over Heather Webber’s (Alley Mills) tests fuel calls for his exit. But can GH write him out with Kim’s storyline looming?

Kim Nero’s Return Looms Large

In 2000, Julian Jerome (William deVry) nearly met baby Andy, and it left questions in the hearts and minds of GH fans everywhere.

Named after Drew, Andy was assumed to be Julian’s, but Kim’s history with Drew — her former love — hints at a paternity twist. If Kim returns, claiming Andy is Drew’s son, it could anchor him to Port Charles, forcing him to face the music of an emotional showdown.

A dramatic reveal might sink his career as a Congressman, wiping Washington, D.C. off the table, too. Will Kim’s bombshell trap him in town?

A Villain Too Big to Vanish?

Fans’ hatred for Drew clashes with GH’s knack for keeping villains central, and Kim’s potential return with Andy ensures his story isn’t done.

Her arrival could stir drama with any number of people, complicating Drew’s schemes. Facebook posts cry, “No more Drew!” but some speculate, “Kim and a kid could redeem him.”

Will Drew’s loathsome actions finally drive him out, or will Kim Nero’s return with a child named Andy keep him in Port Charles, stirring fresh chaos? Stay tuned for more GH news and spoilers to find out.

  • Kim returning to PC with Drew's proposed child is no reason for him to be left on canvas.
Kim can just stay gone if it means Drew has to stay as writers have made this mess of the character they need to suffer the consequences of their actions. Writers are the culprits in the story line, not the actor, as actors perform what is given. If Drew just has to stay around, at least give viewers a break and remove him from canvas for a period of time and perhaps the character at least won't be annoying to view. Just my opinion.

  • Drew is not going anywhere he is Staying in port charles ny he will be protected from me and also willow

  • Kim was going off the deep end and obsessed with Drew. I think Julian's the kids father but she named him after Drew cause she wanted him to be the father and cause she's psycho. Then Julian can come back and maybe he would be the one to finally end Drew once and for all.
