Of course, we are talking about Ridge Forrester going back on his word. Even though he did accept Taylor’s proposal to be her forever husband, it seems like it’s only going to be a matter of time before he realizes that he doesn’t want to marry her after all.

That’s because he’s got his eye on the situation between Brooke and Nick right now. After all, if there’s anything that we’ve learned about Ridge over the years, it’s that he’s the kind of guy who wants what he can’t have.

And even though he doesn’t want Brooke, he wants to always keep her around as a option and that’s only because of the kind of guy he is.

As our loyal readers can imagine, the internet certainly did have a lot to say about the matter.

Some fans even commented with, “Ridge getting back with Brooke and breaking Taylor’s heart once again is always how this story ends between the Brooke/Ridge/Taylor triangle. I mean, We’ve only seen it 100 times before.”

“I wish Brad Bell would’ve left Taylor in Paris and cast Rebecca Budig as a new character. Maybe they could’ve made her Remy Pryce’s mother or something with a nice backstory, I think that would’ve been way more cool.”

It isn’t fair to Bridge fans who have waited forty years to see these two get their shit together and it’s not fair to Taylor fans who want to see her have some happiness, even if it’s not with Ridge. Even their daughters who spent their youth squabbling over the same shitty guy have moved on.”
