Now, there’s news that a cherished star from Y&R is making a surprising move to DAYS in a soap exchange that has fans buzzing, and he’s on his way to Salem. According to posts on his social media accounts, he has already started working on Days of Our Lives.

It’s Like A Game Of Musical Actors Instead Of Musical Chairs

The musical actors’ game kicked off when Flynn transitioned to Y&R to portray Aristotle Dumas; however, as Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) revealed to everyone in Friday’s episode, Dumas was actually Cane Ashby.

In the meantime, Cane’s original actor, Daniel Goddard, has recently taken on the role of the villainous Professor Henry Dalton on General Hospital; are you keeping up? Y&R’s Conner Floyd, who has been playing Chance Chancellor since November 2021, posted a screenshot of a Deadline article on Instagram, captioned, “See y’all in Salem! @dayspeacock.” The article’s headline stated, “Days of Our Lives casts Conner Floyd as the new Chad DiMera.”

Floyd Posted A Curious Hint

Interestingly, Melissa Ordway from Y&R (Abby Newman Winters) commented, “Congratulations!!! You deserve the best!!!!!! ,” to which Floyd replied, “@mel ordway you’re not getting rid of me that easily.” This led fans to wonder if he was working on both shows at the same time.

Meanwhile, the official DAYS Instagram account posted a photo of Floyd joyfully pointing to a dressing room door with his name on it, captioning it, “Save the Date: April 2026.”

Since DAYS films nearly a year ahead, and that’s when we’ll see Floyd as Chad, it’s likely he’s juggling both shows at once; many of his Y&R co-stars congratulated him, while the DAYS cast welcomed Floyd warmly.

Fans did the same, with many tuning in to his new show just because he’ll be in it. We’re eager to see what unfolds next!
