King Charles Seeks “New Era” of “Unity and Purpose” for Monarchy

King Charles’ official birthday this June was one that was greeted with a lot of sunshine. And celebrating it with the Prince and Princess of Wales and their family, the Princess Royal, the Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh, the Duke of Kent, and others, the King, per a royal expert, knowingly sent an important message to Prince Harry.

Harry’s various attacks on his family might be seen as highly divisive ones, but the family continues to draw strength from their unity. The Buckingham Palace balcony appearance proved this.

Friends of Harry have said that the Duke is ready to get back in on the good side of his father King Charles. The Prince said so himself during his May chat with the BBC. Problem is, the family has moved on from his drama and they’re not likely going to let him drag them back.

Speaking to the Express on the “important” message the Saturday, June 14, event carried, body language expert Judi James said: “Posing in the glorious sunshine in front of the cheering crowds, the [Royal Family] proved once again what they are good at and what has been crucial for their survival: stoicism and the ‘never complain, never explain’ philosophy.”

“The King might have looked tetchy in the carriage on the way to the Palace, but he was all good humour and warm smiles on the balcony, even nudging Louis for a chat at one point and picking out his son William for another conversation.“

Weighing in on the moment Charles and William enjoyed an easy chat at the balcony whilst looking out for the fly-past, James noted that the “father-son exchange of words looked important and symbolic.”

James further observed, “Charles tends to pick out the most important people in his life at that time to pay attention to during a balcony appearance. Kate has often been the object of his attention, but to chat to William suggested a new era of warmth and compatibility between the two men.”

Dissecting William’s body language, James added, “William’s pose resembled the pose he would adopt when talking to his grandmother too. With his hands clasped in front of his torso, he signalled a sense of respect to his father and to the crown. As a message to Harry, Charles, and William would have signalled unity and united purpose.”
