Are Taylor Swift & Blake Lively Still Friends? Sources Disagree

It used to be a Taylor Swift and Blake Lively world and we were just living in it. These days, the friendship is not as sweet as it used to be. For one thing, we haven’t seen the two out in public together since the whole drama was brought to the light.

However, sources can’t seem to also agree on whether the two are donezo, or if there’s still a tiny bit of love left in their hearts for each other. One source even claimed that as much as Swift didn’t like being referred to as one of Lively’s dragons, it’s not enough to destroy the beautiful friendship that they’ve cultivated through the years.

Blake Lively and Taylor Swift Reportedly Working On Their Friendship

Okay, let’s get this straight: since the whole dragon and Daenerys mess happened, sources have been updating fans on the nature of Swift and Lively’s current friendship, but the funny thing is that none of them are saying the same thing.

A PEOPLE source revealed that the two friends are still “on good terms,” though “their friendship isn’t the same as it was before.” The reason for this is that they “aren’t as close and haven’t been spending as much time together as they did in the past.”

The source also shared that “Taylor is working to trust Blake again but it’s going to take some time.” A Daily Mail source had a completely different story to tell.

Taylor Swift Has Ignored All of Blake Lively’s “Groveling Excuses”

Following this, a Daily Mail source insisted that the hopes to continue to build their friendship is a one-sided thing that’s coming only from Lively’s camp.

“Even though Taylor has totally cut ties with her, Blake hasn’t with Taylor,” they said. “She’s been reaching out to her with texts, voicemails and even emails begging to mend what they once had.

Blake isn’t giving up on trying to get her friendship with Taylor back on track. Taylor hasn’t responded to any of Blake’s pleas. She’s ignored all her grovelling excuses.”

“The missives explain there must be some misunderstanding on Taylor’s part and that she would never do anything to harm their ten years of closeness and personal secrets.

Taylor obviously still means so much to Blake, but Taylor’s totally done with her and as of right now, no requests will mend their bond as far as she’s concerned.”

A third source, speaking to US Weekly on May 31, claimed that there’s been no “groveling messages” as “there’s been radio silence between Taylor and Blake since the subpoena was dropped.”

However, the source did agree that the friendship has “stalled” and “they won’t pick up where they left off because of all the emotional residue.”

The thing is even though none of the sources agreed on the status of their relationship, they all agreed on one thing, and that is that their friendship isn’t what it used to be.
