General Hospital news says that if there’s one thing that fans can agree on when it comes to someone like Cameron Mathison, it’s that he’s doing a hell of a job playing bad boy Drew. In fact, a lot of fans believe that he’s in his element with this most current storyline.
As many soap fans can recall, Cameron played a good guy on All My Children and while he started off being another good guy on General Hospital, it seems like Drew was just a tad bit boring with Carly.
Fast-forward to the present time and Cameron is playing the biggest sleazeball politician in Port Charles and of course, no one is complaining about it. This is the best work he’s done in years.
As our fans can imagine, the internet certainly did have a lot to say about the matter.
Some have even commented with, “When he was doing the Nurse’s Ball red carpet and being Cameron Mathison Home and Family host, and then flipping over to Evil Drew during the breaks, it was fun to see him navigate both characters. He was doing a great job with it.”
Another fan of the show wrote, “Cameron is so much better playing a bad guy it’s not even funny. He’s like the perfect type of villain for a soap. Sleezy, screws with people’s lives, justifies his own bs, selfish.”
“The problem with GH is a lot of villains end up being murderers or irredeemable people like the worst Cassadines, the mobsters Sonny faces, and psychos like Nelle/Shiloh/Peter.”
And then there was this comment as well: “Hard agree. I think CM works as this new scummy version of Drew a lot better than his good guy persona. He can pull of manipulative d-bag really well and I think the show was lacking villain characters that weren’t just murderers and mobsters.”
As always, GH fans will simply have to tune in each and every day to find out what will happen next.
